Tanda church building dedicated

Ron and Heather Yearwood are rejoicing that God has brought about the official dedication of the first Christian church building among the Tanda people.

God graciously brought other ethnic groups to join in the big celebration; among them were Landumas, Susus, Fulanis and Malinkes.

And in another celebration of His faithfulness, four Tandas recently professed their faith publicly in words and through baptism. One of these believers was Saliu, a carpenter who helped build benches for the new church.  Sadly, Ron and Heather share that the family of Saliu’s wife has taken her away from him following his public profession of faith.

It is our tremendous privilege to hold up our Tanda brothers up in prayer. Pray for God’s grace to comfort and sustain Saliu in this trial. Pray that God’s Spirit will work in the hearts of those who are persecuting him and bring them to repentance and faith.

Pray for the Tanda church, that God will grow and mature it. Pray for their ongoing testimony to other ethnic groups. Pray for all the new believers who were recently baptized—for their growth and encouragement in Christ.
