Tarahumara man plants church
Hector was the first Tarahumara believer to attend NTM-Mexico’s Bible College.
He strayed from the Lord and in his wanderings moved to Denver, Colorado. A serious car accident helped draw him back into fellowship with the Lord.
He began attending church again and taught a Sunday school class. He often called missionaries Kirby and Isabella Dunn to tell them how he was doing and that he was praying for the opportunity to return to his village.
When God opened the door, Hector returned to his village in Mexico and has been preaching, teaching and evangelizing there. He has planted a small church. Hector is teaching a Bible class on Saturday evenings and leads worship services on Sunday night. There are 50 people in the church and several are new believers whom Hector led to the Lord and is now discipling.
"This was a special present from God for us to see this Church thriving and growing before we left Mexico [for home assignment], " Kirby wrote.
Please pray for Hector as he pastors the church in his village. Pray also that the church will continue to grow in their knowledge of the Lord.
