Teaching with their lives

The missionary stood among the believers. He had just completed teaching the book of Titus. His face intent, he earnestly challenged the Yembiyembi teachers-in-training to "walk the talk."

"What teaching are you showing with your life?" he asked. "You don’t have to tell people what you believe; they see it in your daily actions. People know what you believe by looking at the choices you make."

One teacher shook his head as if to clear his thoughts and said, "Man, this talk really gets me again. This has sent me into many days of deep thought of how I need to change my thinking about my daily walking and feed my spirit each day. I need to feed my spirit just as much as I need to feed my body with food to survive."

"Now is the time to grow in our character," another replied.

"True. True. We need to show the character of our team, the King’s children. We need to help each other out like a soccer team would. Let’s win!" injected another.

God is changing the hearts of the Yembiyembi believers as they study through the Epistles with missionary Tim Shontere. Pray for the "King’s children" among the Yembiyembis in Papua New Guinea to support each other and follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to grow. Pray that God’s power will shine in their lives as the believers resist temptations.
