The giver gets a gift

Last week José offered his home for children's Bible study in Brazil and the Holy Spirit caused his heart to yearn for Christ.

Missionary Duane Howe and Vania, a Brazilian Bible teacher, visited a small community in a remote area and began a children's' ministry. José makes a living cutting wooden stakes for fences and has a fairly large empty living-room.

He has been friendly and helpful to the missionaries and offered his living room when a meeting place was needed. Fifty children gathered in José's living room and Vania shared the Gospel.

After the meeting José came to Duane and told him that he had never been religious, but this week he had begun to yearn to know more. Duane began explaining further what Vania had taught the children and José said, "I want that."

Duane intends to take the children and adults from the small village to church Sunday morning. José said he wants to come, too. Pray that he will decide to go to church and that he will continue to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and clearly understand the Gospel message.
