What it's like to move across the world

“We want to thank everyone for your prayers for us these past two weeks as we packed up and moved across the world,” writes Jen Pederson. Kyle and Jen Pederson and their boys returned last week to Papua New Guinea.
Even with three kids in tow, Jen says, they had a trip with singularly smooth flights and flawless connections.
Until they reached the capitol city, that is. “Then the trip fell apart,” Jen adds. The remainder of their journey included a cancelled flight, a middle-of-the-night connection, and dealing with “tons of luggage and lots of waiting in line.”
But after 14 months of absence, the transition was overall a good experience. And Jen says they hit the ground running upon their return. After “30 loads of laundry, a lot of airing things out in the hot sun, and some cleaning, sorting and organizing, we had our house up and running again.”
Jen shares that although they miss their home and loved ones, their kids have adjusted well to the change. “We are starting to get into the swing of things here,” she says. Kyle is meeting with the ministry team to get an overview of his new responsibilities. She is waiting for the arrival of the container of school books and supplies so that she can start homeschooling.
In all the changes, God has been faithful. “We have definitely felt His comfort and peace through all the changes,” Jen shares. “Thank you again for your prayers.”
Pray for Kyle and Jen Pederson and their family as they resume their ministries in Papua New Guinea. Pray for God’s continued guidance and peace as they adjust to the changes in family life that are necessary when missionaries move across the world to contribute their lives toward the task of sharing the Gospel in a faraway place.
