'Where did she go?'
Mwinkas in a village in Mozambique are grieving the death of Fatima.
"She did not die a peaceful death, but one filled with the agony of physical pain and despair," missionary Francois Hattingh wrote.
During the funeral, Mwinkas grieved over the loss, crying out questions such as "Where did she go?"
"How difficult to see our friend and neighbor die without Christ," Francois wrote. "But even in this, we trust the Lord."
Fatima was the mother of the family that hosted Francois, his wife, Nadia, and their three children.
"Therefore, in the local people's eyes, [she] was our grandmother," Francois wrote. "We grieve with our friends."
Although Fatima died without knowing Christ, Francois believes God will use this loss to prepare the mourning Mwinkas for His Truth.
Please pray that God will provide the Hattinghs with a way to share with the Mwinkas that death doesn't have to be filled with hopelessness.
