Work among Senegal tribes progressing
Missionaries throughout Senegal are praising God for His work in the lives and hearts of tribal people.
Christoph and Anne Haerter are partnering with elders in a local church to establish a church-planting team to reach neighboring ethnic group. They are praising God that several Senegalese are interested in taking a training course to help them plant a church.
Ken and Kathy Satorius work among the Budik people in eastern Senegal and are praising God that Ken was able to check the draft of 2 Corinthians with the Budik people as well as checking revisions of other books and Bible lessons for accuracy and understanding.
Their teammates, Ron and Debbie Abram, asked for prayer for the spiritual growth of the believers and for the Budik Bible teachers as they train others to help teach Bible lessons.
The team serving among the Badiaranke people is praising God for progress in language study. Liv Poulsen is looking forward to her possible final evaluation next year.
Rebecca Stottlemyer is praising God for help in correcting the literacy primers and preparing them for printing. She asks for prayer as they meet with the Badiaranke literacy teachers to plan the program for next year. Pray too that the Lord will prepare the hearts of the Badiaranke to hear the Gospel message.
Susan Logsdon and Dave and Tippy McKee work among the Balanta people. Susan is praising God for Aluti who is helping with comprehension checking in Romans, and Eleen’s help in revisions.
"Pray for the comprehension checking I want to do," wrote Susan.
McKees are thanking the Lord for His sustaining grace and strength. "Our number one prayer request," Dave wrote, "is that the Balanta believers would become highly motivated to read their own language, and for those who can read, that they would come alongside the others to teach them."
Pray for the missionaries in Senegal as they labor to bring the Good News about Jesus Christ to the tribal people there.
