Workshop teaches Tobos translation principles
Missionaries Jason and Nisae Williamson and two Tobo believers recently had the opportunity to attend a Bible translation workshop in Papua New Guinea.
"It has been a great opportunity for us to learn more about the translation process and meet other families like ourselves in other tribes," Nisae wrote.
It was also a productive time for Ambox and Welsen, two Tobo believers the Williamsons brought with them to the workshop.
As teammates, Ambox and Welsen not only learned how to assist in translation, but also gained a clear understanding of New Tribes Missions vision for the tribal churches in Papua New Guinea.
The two Tobos had a chance to meet believers from other Papua New Guinea tribes and this has strengthened and encouraged them in their faith.
"It has been a great experience for all of us and great for building relationships with these two men," Nisae wrote.
Jason has also passed his last language evaluation and will be able to contribute more to the task of translating the Bible into the Tobo language.
Hell also be helping fellow missionaries in developing teaching lessons and discipling the believers.
Please pray that with Jasons new role in the ministry, and with the training of Ambox and Welsen, the Tobos will have plenty of opportunity to hear Gods Word and learn about Gods love for them.
