Here I am, Lord; Send Me.

Encountering God’s Glory

One moment Isaiah was a man among a people, and the next he was ushered into the throne room of God and saw the seraphim calling to one another, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3). The ground shook and the smoke rose. Isaiah, overwhelmed by the holiness of God, could only surrender. He confessed his unworthiness, received God’s cleansing and then heard the question that still challenges us today: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” His answer resulted from eyes that had seen the Lord Almighty and a heart surrendered, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8).

Barriers to the Calling

Isaiah’s calling did not begin on an easy path. God warned him that the people he would serve would not listen, they would not understand and they would ignore the words he spoke. His ministry would stretch long into years marked with challenge, hardship and pain.

Those same challenges exist for missionaries today. Many serve in places where the gospel is unwelcome and access is limited. They step into communities shaped by deeply ingrained belief systems, where fear governs daily life. These are not only remote jungle locations but dense cities filled with people leaving villages to seek opportunity yet carrying their spiritual darkness with them. Opposition is real, suspicion runs deep and traditional ministers are often not welcome.

Yet God is still opening doors. One worker in a limited-access region describes it this way:

“The last great frontier in reaching the least-reached is often found in places where traditional ministers are not welcomed. Those who are willing are finding creative avenues to engage both the church and the lost, even in regions not traditionally open to ministers from the West.” (KC)

Training That Breaks Down Barriers

In order to break down these deep-seated barriers, training is not optional! Expanding the Ethnos360 training facilities through the Renovate to Reach campaign is essential, giving us the ability to train more missionaries and equip them fully for the challenges ahead. Preparing students for these hard places requires time and dedication. Ethnos360’s training centers provide two years of biblical instruction and two years of cross-cultural church planting methodology. Students learn to break down unwritten languages, translate Scripture and teach God’s Word in the heart language of a people. It is painstaking work, but it is the foundation for a lifetime of faithful ministry.

Expanding our existing facilities is essential to train more workers, to house them safely and to equip them fully for the challenges ahead. Every gift, every act of surrender, helps create a space where future missionaries can be prepared to step into ministry.

When God’s people respond, barriers fall and bridges are built. Training capacity can grow as the facilities continue to be renovated. Trained missionaries can step into hard places with confidence. The unreached can hear the gospel in their own heart language, and thriving churches are planted. The impact of the gospel can now be passed on to each generation.

Join the Vision

When God’s people respond, whether through prayer, going or giving, the gospel advances. Thanks to those who have already joined the Renovate to Reach campaign! Because of your gifts, more students can be trained and equipped. Your gifts are already making a difference in helping remove barriers to provide for biblical training and cross-cultural equipping so laborers can go wherever God calls.

The need today is still urgent. Entire people groups remain unreached — destined for a Christless eternity without hope. For them to hear, more workers must be trained, equipped and sent with the skill and endurance to break down deep worldview barriers. The Renovate to Reach campaign is a response to the Lord, echoing Isaiah’s willingness: “Here am I, Lord! Send me.”

Through Renovate to Reach, we are increasing Ethnos360’s training capacity, ensuring that missionary candidates continue to be equipped to plant churches among the unreached. Those churches will also one day respond like Isaiah did and will carry the gospel farther than we can imagine. Renovate to Reach ensures that more men and women are prepared to carry God’s Word across cultural and linguistic barriers so that those who have never heard will have access to Truth.

That is why the Renovate to Reach campaign exists.

That same challenge continues now. When God’s people see His glory and respond, whether through praying, going or giving, the gospel moves outward. More laborers are trained and sent. More people hear God’s Word. More thriving churches are planted.

This is why your participation, your prayers and your generosity matter. You are part of the same response of obedience that stretches from Isaiah’s day into our own. Because many of you have already given, we are already seeing movement forward. Thank you for responding!

Your gifts are not simply funds — they are an offering of “Here am I, Lord; use what I have for the sake of the nations.”

Project Updates

Because of your incredible generosity, more projects on each campus are moving forward!

Along with the completion of the foundation repair, office renovations and the replacement of elevators at Ethnos360’s Bible Institute, gifts have begun to come in for the replacement of over 400 windows in the main building where classes are held — this project is projected to cost over $1,000,000.

At Ethnos360’s Training Center, where future missionaries are being equipped with church planting methodology, work continues on student housing which will increase our ability to train more missionaries. In addition, renovations on the lower level of the Vision Center are on track to be completed this fall. Volunteer teams, working alongside our staff, have given sacrificially of their time to complete as much work as possible. These volunteer teams help stretch each gift given.
