Skilled Associate Program

The process to become a skilled associate

  1. Pre-application
    • Complete a preliminary questionnaire.
    • A member of our team will help you find a good ministry fit, and a written job description from a ministry team in a particular country.
    • You should talk with and receive guidance from your church leaders.
  2. Application
    • Complete the application process (this takes about four to six weeks).
  3. Approval
    • A team will review your application material and make a decision regarding approval within 3-5 business days. There are qualifications that must be met, but if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the team.
  4. Pre-Field Preparation
    • Obtain your passports, visas and immunizations. If you are serving abroad, your field will assist you with information to obtain visas and immunizations
    • Raise prayer and financial support: You will receive training at Pre-Field Orientation on how to develop a ministry partnership team
  5. Orientation
    • Prepare for Pre-Field Orientation (PFO) by reading assigned materials and completing designated study projects.
    • Attend the June PFO in Sanford, Florida. (You may bring nursing infants to the orientation, but you should make arrangements for other children to be cared for by family or friends.)
  6. Overseas or Stateside Ministry
    • Associates may serve with Ethnos360 for six months to four years. In most countries, you will be asked to arrive at least two weeks before your assignment begins.
  7. Continuing Ministry
    • If you serve successfully for four years and want to continue, there is a process to enable you to do that.
