Your gift to this project will speed the completion of the videos for immediate use. The Genesis Project videos help to teach foundational truths about God, creation, sin and the promised Savior. They provide an excellent accompaniment to the Jesus Film project that was completed in 2017. These videos are not designed to replace a teacher in each village, but they are to be one tool for the ministers to use.

The 10,000 Loron people live in isolated homesteads and villages over 2,500 square miles. The majority still follow animistic practices and many remain monolingual. Few Loron people ever had the opportunity of an education.

However, about 500 Loron believers worship in 20 churches. Literacy in their heart language has become important to them, and they desire the whole Bible in their language.

The goals of this project are to complete the New Testament translation and then the Old Testament, and a literacy course and Bible teaching materials.

The Ayoré New Testament was printed 35 years ago in a diglot version (Ayoré/Spanish). It has now been completely revised and has been sent to the Bible Society of Bolivia (primary contact), and they sent it on to Brazil’s Bible Society for printing.  The goal is to provide the present Ayoré church with the urgently needed revised New Testament and half of the Old Testament. They hope  to have the revised Scriptures printed and shipped to Bolivia and Paraguay by the end of 2018.

Thank you for providing the funds to pay the translator’s salary for the next two years. Because of your gifts, prayer requests and news items will be kept before the Latin American evangelical churches. These prayer requests and news items are a vital mobilization tool because they stimulate prayer support and educate the Latin American evangelical church and believers about cross-cultural church planting. They also have the added benefit of promoting unity by keeping our Latin American partners updated on current ministry developments.

Thirty-two villages among the Tagbanwa people group in the Philippines have churches. Of the 16,000 in this people group, about 2,500 are believers who are growing and sharing their faith. There are new church plants going on right now, but without the Scriptures in their language, there was nothing available to facilitate their growth and discipleship. Because you gave to this project, the reprinting of the Tagbanwa Bible is now in process.
